The Mount Croix Animal Clinic is a small animal veterinary clinic that has served clients and pets of Port Elizabeth and the surrounding area since 1947. We focus particularly in treating and caring for dogs, cats and exotic species. Our aim is to provide exceptional care and service to our clients and their pets in a friendly, compassionate and trustworthy manner while using the highest standards of veterinary care.

Dr Andrew Mackay is the senior partner at the Mount Croix Animal Clinic and has been in general practice for 32 years. His special interests are reptiles and he consults at Bayworld treating seals, penguins and is involved in turtle rehabilitation. Dr Mackay is married with three children and when not at work he enjoys his free time kayaking, fishing and walking the family dogs.

Dr Lucie Runnalls is a small animal veterinarian. She qualified from Onderstepoort Faculty of Veterinary Science in 1999. Dr Lucie has worked at the Mount Croix Animal Clinic since 2002. She has a special interest in small animal medicine cases and in her free time she spends her time horse-riding. Lucie is married with four dogs, four cats, two horses and three bunnies.

Dr Matthijs Ravensberg is a small veterinarian from the Netherlands. He qualified from Utrecht, the Netherlands in 2003 and spent several years working in England before coming to South Africa. In 2009 he passed the South African board exam and has been working at Mount Croix Animal Clinic ever since. He has a passion for wild birds and provides veterinary care for the penguins at SANCCOB, as well as raptors from Wildline. While not at work, he enjoys the outdoors with his wife and two sons.

Dr Nicole Furniss graduated from Onderstepoort in 2010 and moved back to Port Elizabeth. Nicole joined the Mount Croix Animal Clinic team at the end of 2011. She has a special interest in small animal medicine cases and enjoys interacting with clients and helping them to understand and participate in the care of their pets. Nicole has two cats that were adopted from the clinic and two rabbits. Nicole enjoys spending time with friends and family and loves reading, crafts, and growing her indoor garden.
